Stuart commenced his role as Clinical Director at Waitaki District Health Services Ltd in August 2020.

Stuart has been involved in medicine for over 36 years.  He has worked in general practice, emergency medicine and appearance medicine as well as being an educational facilitator for the training of registrars, pre-vocational supervisor for Medical Council New Zealand and supervisor for post graduate education for nurses.  Stuart is on the executive board of Rural Hospital Medicine for the College of GP's.

Stuart’s special interests include diabetes, cardiology and cosmetic medicine.  His hobbies are travel, movies, stained glass and cooking

Stuart is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience in medicine through the training of doctors, nurses and other health care staff.  "With a view towards teamwork, recruitment and retention of staff there will be continuity of care and sustainability"
