Infection Prevention Control Coordinator (permanent, part-time 0.5 FTE)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Quality team at Waitaki District Health Services Ltd. for an Infection Prevention Control Coordinator.
Primarily you will be responsible for the maintenance of an infection prevention control program in accordance with Nga Paerewa Health and Disabilities Standard NZS8134:2021 for Oamaru hospital.
The successful candidate will ideally be either a NZ registered or enrolled nurse with an appropriate qualification or from a related health/science discipline. Experience in infection control is desired.
You will be required to have excellent interpersonal communication skills (both written and verbal). You will also have excellent computer skills. An ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively as a team is essential.
This will be a part time role worked at 0.5 FTE (20hrs/week).
