During Delta level 2, services at Oamaru Hospital will resume to normal.
Visiting hours will be 2pm – 7pm and visitors restricted to 2 per patient.
Maternity - No children to accompany their parents for antenatal visits however children will be permitted for inpatient visits.
ALL visitors to the hospital will be screened before entry, must scan in using the QR code or enter their details in the handwritten register, and required to wear a mask at all times. Please be kind to our staff through the screening process.

Medical Imaging Technologist (full-time, permanent)

We are looking for a Medical Imaging Technologist either experienced or new Graduate to join our Radiology Department servicing Oamaru and the wider North Otago region.

You will be working on a roster between General Radiography and CT scanning (full training in CT will be provided if required). You will also be required to participate in our on-call roster providing 24/7 cover for our community. The position is ideally full-time permanent (70 hours per fortnight) however the position could also be worked on a part-time basis if preferred.

Skills and knowledge:

  • You must be registered with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board and hold an Annual Practising Certificate.
  • You will have a sound knowledge of techniques and practices.
  • You will have great communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • You will consistently act with consideration and compassion to all our patients.
  • You will ensure that the quality, infection control practices and health and safety are integrated throughout your practice.
