RSV – VISITING RESTRICTIONS TO OAMARU HOSPITAL
From 16th July 2021: Oamaru Hospital is currently placing restrictions on visitors to all departments within the hospital (E.D, the Ward, Maternity, Radiology, Outpatients and District Nursing) to help prevent further spread of RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) to newborn babies and sick children.
In particular, we ask that only parents and main caregivers visit our maternity unit until further notice, to help protect newborn babies and sick children from the virus.

Visiting hours are currently 2.00pm - 7.00pm daily

Allied Health Director .6 FTE

Shared across Dunstan and Oamaru Hospitals, Otago

 

We are seeking an innovative and enthusiastic permanent part time (0.60 FTE) Allied Health Director.  This exciting new role will be shared across Waitaki District Health Services Ltd, Oamaru and Central Otago Health Services/Dunstan Hospital, in Clyde, and may be based at either.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer/s the Allied Health Director is responsible for providing strategic allied health leadership from a professional perspective, and facilitate contemporary models of care from a whole of health system perspective.

 

To be successful in this position you will be:

  • A registered Health Professional with a current APC
  • Knowledgeable of professional Allied Health practice issues
  • A strong leader both with people and in a clinical setting
  • An excellent active listener with the ability to articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Able to work collaboratively with all clinical disciplines

     

    The successful applicant will also be required to have competent computer skills and a current driving licence.
