Ruth Kibble CEO Waitaki District Health Services

Ruth brings energy and enthusiasm to her role as CEO of Waitaki Health Services. She is enjoying the opportunity to lead the organisation through change, towards a more sustainable future, both as a business and clinically, so that it’s future is secure for the people of Waitaki.

Ruth joined Waitaki District Health Services as part of her secondment with South Canterbury Health in July 2018 as the Moving Forwards Coordinator. Moving into her current role as CEO in September 2018 and brings with her a background in physiotherapy, with a post-graduate diploma in rehabilitation. She has worked clinically for over twelve years, in team leadership and management roles and completed a Master of Business degree in 2014. She is a member of the Collective Intelligence Network, is active with NGOs, and was part of the Community FIRST pilot programme with Presbyterian Support.

She has been on the Senior Executive team at South Canterbury District Health Board since 2011 and in that role worked across primary care, older people care, mental health and addictions, laboratory, and pharmacy services.

As CEO at Waitaki Health Services, Ruth is interested in enabling others within the organisation, empowering the leadership team to make the change. She’s interested in Waitaki Health Services moving to be a contemporary organisation and enjoys engaging with the wider community to work together to overcome any obstacles.
