RSV – VISITING RESTRICTIONS TO OAMARU HOSPITAL
From 16th July 2021: Oamaru Hospital is currently placing restrictions on visitors to all departments within the hospital (E.D, the Ward, Maternity, Radiology, Outpatients and District Nursing) to help prevent further spread of RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) to newborn babies and sick children.
In particular, we ask that only parents and main caregivers visit our maternity unit until further notice, to help protect newborn babies and sick children from the virus.

Visiting hours are currently 2.00pm - 7.00pm daily

Phil Jamieson commenced as Chief Executive Officer of Waitaki District Health Services Limited, 31 August 2020.

 

Phil’s career has been senior management / executive roles across a range of sectors including banking and finance, primary industry, government, and retail, in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom. Earlier in his career Phil advised New Zealand and also UK healthcare sectors on reforms and change management.

 

Throughout Phil’s career, he has performed advisory roles on a volunteer basis to ‘not for profit’ health related organisations including Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy and Adaptive (Disabled) Sports.

 

Phil is motivated by working with teams to make meaningful and pragmatic improvements to service delivery outcomes. He is also passionate about better serving the needs of small, local communities.

 

Outside of work, Phil enjoys snow sports and spending time with his large family.
