Allied Health Director
Lynda McCutcheon

I feel very privileged and excited to be part of the Waitaki District Health Services team as the Allied Health Director leading the allied health team. The role is part time and is shared across two Rural Trust Health Services (Waitaki and Central Otago) and I alternate weeks on each site.

My links to Waitaki go back to the mid to late 1800s with great grandparents on both sides settling in Oamaru and Ngapara areas. I have fabulous memories of childhood summer holidays in Windsor with relatives.

My career began as a physiotherapist and I then moved into working with the wider grouping of allied health professionals. More recently I worked in the SDHB in management, leadership and governance roles that covered around 30 different allied health, scientific and technical professions. In Waitaki I aim to work with staff to develop models of care that focus on improving the health outcomes of our people, their families / whanau by empowering them to be actively engaged in their health journey.

Whether you work in clinical or non-clinical roles, everyone plays such a critical part in our health system and I am really looking forward to working alongside you all.
