RSV – VISITING RESTRICTIONS TO OAMARU HOSPITAL
From 16th July 2021: Oamaru Hospital is currently placing restrictions on visitors to all departments within the hospital (E.D, the Ward, Maternity, Radiology, Outpatients and District Nursing) to help prevent further spread of RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) to newborn babies and sick children.
In particular, we ask that only parents and main caregivers visit our maternity unit until further notice, to help protect newborn babies and sick children from the virus.

Visiting hours are currently 2.00pm - 7.00pm daily

Mark is a professional director and holds Chair and Director roles on a number of company Boards. Mark has a broad background in governance and experience to Chief Executive level. He has worked in both the commercial and governmental spheres, including as a Ministerial appointment on Crown entities and to a number of CCO’s. Mark has expertise in the health, economic development, tourism and infrastructure sectors. He is experienced in strategy, finance and operations with specialist knowledge of change, risk and health and safety. He is a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, the Business Leaders’ Health and Safety Forum and Risk NZ. Mark holds a BA (Hons) in Political Science.
